How things go downhill at a good shop

Hey i run a install bay for a shop in santa ana and i had a few guy's in the shop that work there and once i came in i gave them the boot. The shop runs way better and im under staff. I told the 6 guy's that i need them to go all out for me and in one week i gave them a 2.50 raise. They loved me for it but i still need a runt for running wire's and helping out around the shop. Fuck him don't bail him out. Shop that have a person like that running them only hurt people like your friend that would really make a name for him self. Or gust get more money.

As the bay manager he doesn't deserve the help. If he is above all others then he and he alone needs to take the responsibility for the job. If he can't handle it then he needs to Man up and tell the owner he cant and that someone else should do it, or try it and if he falls flat on his face then he needs to take 100% blame for it.

If he was just a young pup then he could go to the bay manager for help, but since he is the young pup AND bay manager, he needs to handle his business alone.

I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England.

Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.

ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

No, then if you must bail the shop out (which, btw bails the kid out) talk to the shop owner and tell him whats up. If he doesnt care, then let the kid fuck it up...
tell the boss and if he doesnt care just let the kid fuck it up

x2s.. the best way to learn, is learn from their own mistake..

Give him all the rope he need to hang him self with. Tell your friend to step up to the plate only after the hanging. He can show this pup how the big dog's do it.

This seems like a no brainer to me. How would you feel if you threw down racks on a system and for someone to install it improperly, and the new kid fucks everything up? That would suck. Help the kid out at least, make him seem like he should learn the ropes a little before he becomes manager. There's no reason for him to be in the position he is, so try to make that evident to him.

i say do it...we all need a bone thrown to us now and then....

do it for the vehicle's owner if nothing else..

Do it for the owner.

But what gets me how in the hell the new kid is the lead installer with less experience or knowledge then the rest of the crew. That is a good way to ruin a good business. He should have start at the bottom and got the necassary knowledge and experience. I know a couple of the shops I worked at, no one was allowed to be shop lead unless, they had years of experience and valid referrences.

Pushing it to the limits. Want more power.

Ok but i know from running a shop if your shit dose not sound right the first time i would ask the owner to give me a chances to make it right. But maybe you can talk to the owner before it gets to that point. How about you make a box and let him make his and you can put them up on each other?????
