Marlo Stanfield Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 If you have proper height then I'd suggest going sub/port(s) facing the rear. Just make sure you have space for proper air flow around the top/sides of the box, making sure to not choke it off from the rest of the car... I wouldn't under estimate that amp so much, don't be surprised if you see around 1400-1500w out of it @ 2ohms. Also as long as you set the gains correctly and aren't stupid with the volume knob, then you shouldn't have any issues with overpowering. Do u have any electrical upgrades right now?? Granted 1500w or so isn't a huge amount of power, a stock electrical setup will have some issues with it. Especially with the BXi line not being exactly the most efficient amps on the market also. If you are running a stock electrical then I'd suggest something like - big 3 in 1/0 or larger, decent under hood batt(Kinetik 1000, Northstar NSB-40, etc similar), and a big batt in back(Northstar NSB-125, XS 3100, etc similar). 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... Yeah that's the thing...I might get a different brand like DC...something that can handle 1400 watts at 2ohms. Do u have any electrical upgrades right now?? Nope not right now but I will be doing the Big 3 and using 0 gauge. If I am still having electrical problems then I'll get a good battery for upfront.
