Can we get some real world efficiency numbers?

Efficiency : 86% @ 4 ohm, at 100Hz

Lets be honest, no one here is going to buy an amp of this size and run it at 4ohm and at 100hz.

Thats why I think CEA ratings are bullshit.

Anyways, question still stands.

Is it just me or does the insides look very similar to a old IA 40.1? not saying they are the same, just similar guts.

Efficiency "ratings" are a bit of BS any way you slice it... it's going to vary dramatically based on the vehicle, setup, frequency, etc.

The design of the 4500D was for very high efficiency... hence 8 power supply transformers to spread the load out. Same reason the 3500D went to four transformers vs. two in the 3000D.

I'm sure you will see some comparative tests soon enough.

Nice job Jake. More and more surprises from sundown. I still like my smaller amps in quantity though, but that things is FUCKING HUGE!
