I went that route on my last box & it sounds WAYYYYY better with the subs firing towards the rear. I have a sealed box though now, so no comment on the port except I've seen some loud systems with subs back, port on drivers side. Oh I mean port is on the drivers side, but firing back along with the subs. David Posted June 10, 2007 Report Share Posted June 10, 2007 for pure SPL try sub and port forward through the opening into the cabin behind the seat, seal it off like a wall so that no air gets into the trunk, I gaurentee it will be the one of loudest trunk set-ups.
