Neel Posted December 21, 2009 Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Heres what I did to hook up my RCAs to my Oscilloscope to check for clipping Just get some cheap female RCA ends (http://exclusive-part.com/2rca-35mm_3.jpg) Cut the end off so you are left with just the female connector and some wire, then strip that wire and separate the two conductors. Now hook up your voltmeter to the two wires (positive or negative does not matter because we are metering AC and not DC) Now play a 1khz test tone and see what voltage your deck cranks out .
