Sampsonite
if the sub is brand new and you smell stuff, its probably the excess glue being burned off. if thats the case then its totally normal This is correct --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com

Basshead08
Your probably clipping the shit out of it bud. Turn all bass boosts and "loud" features off and set your gains with a dmm or o-scope and you should be good to go. System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
Decaf
bass boost was on, bass on deck is at 0, loud is at 2gain was half way up and i used bass knob. bass boost should be off, bass on deck should be 0 loud should be at 0... dont use the bass knob right away until ur used to knowing when to turn it down bass knobs are great but if u arent next to the speaker u cant always here when its distorting... so get used to ur sub without it remember the bass knob is used to turn the gain DOWN from its highest point u set it at, and bring it back up to that point once u want it loud again they are not to be used to add bass to a song
LoudBimmer
ok, problem is fixed my gain wasnt set right, that's why it was burning. Now it's all right. the SPL probably double from my last amp (jbl 300.1) but now i got less vibration, which is good. next stop is putting my 1/0 gauge wire in and installing this. big tnx to everyone

finkster
the sub is rated for 600rms so i dont think youll burn it out. knowing DC you could probably run 1200 to that thing all day. doubtful. Its the same sub as an RE Se, and i wouldnt run more than 750 on those daily...But i know what you're getting at. LoudBimmer
i'm thinking about hooking it up at 1 ohms, but i'm afraid to mess my alt up.
