CLNFREAK Posted December 23, 2009 Report Share Posted December 23, 2009 so I have a 150 amp alt in the car (police package stock alt) now and a 5 farad cap, voltage at idle full tilt never goes below 12 volts. at cap. I thinking about a 2nd battery in the trunk and replacing the cap with it, or should I just go with a bigger alt ? running jbl 1400.1 hifonics 5 channel (100 x 4 + 300 x 1) big three 0 gauge power and grounds 0 gauge amp feeds 4 gauge Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That was my first thought but then I thought to get a new alt (larger) and ditch the cap. think just a deep cycle batt 150 ah + will do the trick ?
