MrSkippyJ
i'm no pro, but aren't you supposed to put your in-line fuse within a few feet of the battery? i think that's y bellithorp04 asked about your battery location I guess I didn't make it very clear but there are 2 fuses: 1 250amp fuse next to my battery and 1 100amp fuse in the center console about 8" from my amp. kirill007
Is it just me or are the 8's bottoming out? Nice box, and cool bass knob location, it looks like it's meant to be there. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
MrSkippyJ
Is it just me or are the 8's bottoming out?Nice box, and cool bass knob location, it looks like it's meant to be there. Thanks! The bass knob fits so perfect there, and really easy to use. The 8s were screwed up. They are 8 years old and the original surrounds were rotted so I bought so new generic surrounds that ended up being not tall enough. So when the subs started getting close to max excursion the surrounds were already stretched to their max. I don't think it was bottoming out, but there was some bad sound they were making. By the way, thank you all for not bashing me for using JL. I know they aren't the end all of subs, but for $100 the 12 W0 fit both my budget and my amp. Yes, I am going to upgrade later, but I had nothing now (minus those 8s) and even a JL is better than nothing right? pRoFsWiRlY
Its a blast to drive... picked it up cheap with low miles, and is great on the gas. Plus everyone I know always says "that thing is ugly" then they get inside for a ride and their tune changes to "ok... i can see why people like these!" I also Like the open cabinof it... a single 10 in a prefab ported box off of 550 watts gets loud... I can't wait until I figure out my design for 2 in the compartment off of 1100! I gots all my equipment... just need the time and final design to get moving!
