Severe Engine Noise

Well I broke down and bought a new 4 channel to replace my Crossfire VR-404(wanting more power) So I purchased a new Cossfire BMF 600.4. I took my VR out and did nothing but hook up wires and now have severe engine noise. Any explanations for this. Your help is greatly appreciated

ground your rcas on the deck not sure if u can do it on your amps im not that bright lol . if thats not it then dial 911

yea just ground the rcas on the hu. pioneer hu's do that a lot whe you hot swap the rcas.

I would bet either you didn't ground the amp right or you've killed the fusible link in your headunit. Did you have the stereo on at any point when plugging/unplugging RCAs?

Did you hook up the ground wire before the +12v?

Either way, probably fusible link. You can do it the quick and dirty way as pictured above or find my tutorial to fixing it properly.

Amplifier is using the ground as the previous one. The stereo was NOT on when hooking up. I connected the ground before any other connections. Ill try the fusible link on the head unit, I have a spare. Thank you everyone.

check your ground connection, not at the amp but at your chassis. sometimes they move or get loose when swaping amps depends on who and how they installed it.
