You can rent a 4 1/2" inch grinder at The home depot for like 5 bucks an hour or maybe less, and just buy a couple of cut-off wheels there about 2 bucks each you might need 2, if this is your first time using a tool like this i suggest buying some safety glasses and a pair of thick leather gloves. Also just a tip when you are cutting, cut very slow and hold that grinder real good, real good.! Good Luck.

# of common port walls should be 3. your port area number should be somewhere between your port area range. -
Port Problems.... Suggestions?
chevyhoe08 replied to Cashdollar2009's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
well this sucks. i had the same issue this a lincoln LS i am doing right now. In order to use all the space available and to make my slot port work i had to cut that rear deck out. was worth it in my case, not many people i know are willing to cut there car like that, but i do anything for more bass..lol. -
i would suggest doing sub back, port back on a box that small and small setup with a car like that. i would do sub back, port back.

MDF is perfect its cheap, easy to cut, easy to put together and its a solid material, a pixieglass box would have to be really thick to work, cutting it would be a PITA N putting it together would take forever to pre-drill and screw everything together would suck not to mention the price on pixie. just my 2cents.

i am a builder/designer and i can help you out, so can other people here at SMD but if you are looking for a sketch up type of deal with measurements for free, forget about it..lol. first i always like to start with what are your max dimensions you can build your box at?

Box question?
chevyhoe08 replied to TIG's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
I am a designer/box builder of socal area. did some calculating and that ends each sub at around 1.8cu.ft after all displacement. And this is directly from kicker website (Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 3, 85) so i am going to say that its not going to work, not a good idea. -
I got a BTL fully loaded single slug motor.
