psx2p
with that CPU: AMD Athlon™ X2 6000+ theres no reason you should have to change the fan speed. those are super cool running chips Quote 01 GMC Sonoma 4x4 RF T1500.1bd DC LVL 4 12"

newls1
make sure first that the bios is set to some sort of user control, and not manually locked in. If your bios has these options. Your question is a little incomplete for me to tell you how, as your not giving me enough info on other neeed specs. however programs like speedfan (that was mentioned) is a nice and small program. psx2p
yea speed fan can control it, MOST of the time ASUS will bundle some software with there boards that will allow you to control it. as newis stated check you bios. if you cannot control the speed in there chances are the option is not available on the board. then you will want to get a fan controler Quote 01 GMC Sonoma 4x4 RF T1500.1bd DC LVL 4 12"
Boon
Also depends on the board and the fan. If it has a 4 pin connector then it's controlled by PWM and just about any fan control program should be able to handle it. Speedfan is good. If it only uses a 3 pin connector then you need a board that supports direct voltage control and not all of them do... Either way, speedfan. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
