Forevrbumpn Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Iam glad your thinking outside the box, as far as port building. Most people think ports have to have a standard look/design, all you need to do is use left over space after adding in the woofers. I did a 12" in a box that had a face of 12"x16"= 192sq inches deducted the woofers mounting size which was 113/114sq inches, then calculated the port area at 78ish sq inches (was about 2 years ago hard to remember) the box ended up being kinda long to compensate for air space, but honestly because the woofer and cone worked together like that it sounded pretty good, definitley louder than a regular ported box I would have made I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
