Im driving a few hrs tonight to a new years party and I'm not sure what to do about the second battery, take it out and wrap the terminals in blacktape and just run one battery? E a r t h Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 this is one of the reasons you shouldn't have a wet cell style battery in the cabin of the vehicle. the other being the fact that they vent hydrogen gas. sealed agm is the way to go and always secure batteries Quote

95_1500 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I would disconnect and remove the battery.. Filling it with water would probably be fine but i wouldnt risk it spilling again. Just disconnect it, tape the terminals and remove it. Worry about it after you get back from the party, that battery could potentially drain your starting batt and you not be able to make it home tonight Just what I would do... maddog8431 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Actually it does, your not suppose to have wet cell batteries inside the cabin of the vehicle. But anyways, use Distilled water in the battery and it should be fine. Make sure its true distilled water tho. Quote
