abervintageman42
so i got my remote start installed today and the guy tapped off the fuel injector so that the remote start would know to quit cranking, well this made my truck run like complete shit to say the least, i unplugged the tap that he had on there and it runs great, so my question to you guys is, what should i tap into besides the injectors and coil packs that would tell the remote start to stop cranking the engine? vehicle is a 99f150 w/ the 5.4 Edited January 5, 2010 by abervintageman42

theabunai
Can you check to see the wire he tapped was lt. green/white at the coil on the passenger side of the motor between the fuel injectors ?? That is the true tach wire on the 5.4L motors Quote Ascendant Audio Hawaii Rep Sundown Audio Hawaii Rep

theabunai
the tach wire should've been tapped to a lt. green with a white stripe wire when you pulled the tach wire off was the wire it was attached to lt. green with a white stripe Edited January 5, 2010 by theabunai Quote Ascendant Audio Hawaii Rep Sundown Audio Hawaii Rep

theabunai
That's not the right wire.. is there a wire next to the one he tapped that is green with a white stripe wire just to be sure this is a 1999 ford F150 5.4L truck right ? if it is I am confident that the wire is Green with a white stripe Edited January 5, 2010 by theabunai Quote Ascendant Audio Hawaii Rep Sundown Audio Hawaii Rep
