Ohm: Dual 1 vs Dual 2

Im looking at gettin a 12" Fi BLT and was wondering what the difference was between the Ohm options. Im plannin on putting it into a 2.5 cu ft box powered by a PDX 1.1000 (for now) which option would be advised or work best for this set up?

dual 1 can be wired at .5 or 2 ohms

dual 2 can be wired at 1 or 4 ohms

assuming that amp does its power at one ohm (which i dont know), get the dual 2...

I think most alpines are rated at 2 ohms but could be wrong. I'd go for a dual 2 because I have a dual 1 nightshade and its a lot easier to find amps that have the right power at 1 ohm than 2 ohms

if its one woofer at 2ohms you can wire it to 1ohm or 4ohm , if its 1ohm you can wire it 0.5ohm or 2ohm. just depends on what the amp is stable at

im not sure if the pdx's are 1ohm stable... but i know that they put out their rated power anywhere between 2 and 4 ohms... doesnt matter which... it will put out rated regardless of ohm load... but like i said im not sure if it can handle 1ohm

The amp does the same power at 2 ohm or 4 ohm so either one will work.
