Sub box insulation

I just got a dual 12" sub box from a friend for my truck, i know you have to put insulaiton in it to sound better. But how much is enough?

Never use fiberglass insulation EVER, use polyfill/poly batting/dacron batting or cotton batting.

Polyfill is 1lb. per cube, poly/dacron/cotton batting just line 3 sides inside the box like bottom,back and side.

Yeah I was just wondering because my friend (kx519 on here) posted pics of my 6x9 kickers asking questions. When we opened the box up its stuffed with fiberglass insulation, I've never been itchy and are far as i can tell its never blown any out.

I could be wrong, but don't you only want to add insulation of any kind if your box is too big and you're trying to lose space without having to build a new box?

Polyfill tricks the sub into acting as if it were in a larger enclosure, poly/dacron and cotton batting combat inner box noise from the sound reflections inside or to accoustically dampen it.
