doesn't really matter what it as grounded to I would still have voltage, which I didn't. I hooked the amp up to another battery I had and it came on so no, the amp is fine and not the problem

It does matter what your dmm is grounded to, its a circuit. If your grounding your dmm on paint or anything that causes resistance then your never going to get a good reading from the hot wire.

What i would do is find some bare metal or try and ground it where the tail lights ground to. then youll know 100% that your positive wire is the issue because youve ruled out the ground and ruled out the fuse so theres nothing left but the positive in the circuit.

(reason i used the tail light ground is because if the ground for the tail lights had bad conductivity it would caus the lights to be dim or not light at all. So from this you can see that if the tail lights are fully functional then you know that the ground they are hooked to must have a decent to well connection.)

hope this helps.

damn, wish i knew that then.. thanks for the tip tho

No problem. Works for a lot of things actually...wax, plastic, etc. Takes a little bit to get it all out, but eventually it will.

You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.
