when my bass hits my lights dim dash lights and interior lights not sure about head or rear lights. any ideas how to fix it?

Your best bet would be to stay away from the cap if your already having electrical issues. Start with the Big 3. here That should at least help. Depending on the setup you may need a bigger, or multiple alts, as well as more batteries. Like Tyler said, full specs on your system would help more.

well im not trying to spend big bucks on a new alty considering this is my first car and wont have it long. i was thinking about a new battery but getting a new battery may require a new alty same with getting a second bat

idk what amperage my alty is but its stock on a 99 ford taurus se 3.0l

i have 2g jl power wire but my amp has small connection terminals so not all of the dookie ass wire is under the screw

that have something to do with it?

Big3 may be a pretty good ideaonce i get money

i was running 2 rear batts of a stock 90A alt you should be fine do the "big 3" it will help cheak your grounds make sure there good try to get as much wire into the terminal as you can and make sure your gains are set right

I ran three large batteries on a stock 105amp alt with no problems for 6months...

Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4

Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2"

Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd

Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400

Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v

Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube)

Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod

Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors)

Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded

why is my amp turing on (green led) then shutting off (red) then kicks on for a second. wtf wtf help b4 i cry :shot:

Your amps going into protect from the voltage drop you have. With the upgrades your looking at i would get 2 batteries with nothing less than 100ah to start and maybe add another or so later depending on dropping voltage.
