Neo_frog
how much port area do you have? looks like she'll be loud as *% and when you gettin the subs? I think it'll be about 238 sq.in. 7" x 34" I didn't plan with exact measurements. I just drew little diagrams and wrote detailed descriptions of the order and how to do things. I'll actually be using a 3" dowel cut in 1/4s to round my port threshold. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Neo_frog
i believe your missing something in those doors the build is looking great man! Ah yes... Don't worry. Once the wall is done, I'll be redoing the doors. Reason is, I'll be putting the eight 6.5s in a false floor below the wall so I can continue to have music while I do the doors with new speakers....and some etched plexi. Need an install? 1030tooled
Loudest to the ear was the 32 10s. I never actually finished the box and never had it metered. It wasn't very good on the lows, but the highs were painful. Interesting how you stated that..... "Loudest to the ear"! Do you know what the predicted output of the car was? Nice work indeed! And it goes to show that............(this guy for example)the build is what make this hobby fun. 93' Ford Aerostar Alpine head unit 4-5.25 MB Quarts 20-10" pyramids super Pro 1 Lanzar amp
Neo_frog
Here with go with Friday and today's progress. Some little things have changed here and there so I made some adjustments. Here are the changes I made to the original plan: -6.5" speakers will now go on the sides of the box. Being right below the port will tear them apart with the new dimensions. -Subs will not be flush mounted. Yes it looks pretty, but not necessary so I kanked it. -Port will be rounded over rather than using the dowel. 3" dowels are ~$70. Not worth the effort. -One MCA3004 will run both doors at 2 ohms instead of two. It's 2 ohm stable so no sense using extra. -Components will be put into doors instead of coax. They sound way better. -Gauges and center channel will be placed in the center console. On with the pics! Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
