So i've had a 97 Grand Prix SE 170,000 miles and a guy on craigs list wants to trade his 96 Tahoe /w 82,000 miles on it the thing is in GREAT condition, all blacked out tinted with rims.

My question how much louder will my Vented Fi SSD 15" get in this as opposed to my Grand prix with a seat that doesnt fold down.

I thought it was a bit harder to score high in SUV's because of all the extra possible opening (more windows and doors) for pressure to escape.

I might be wrong though.

I think that is normally the case but it will probably be louder since his old car seats wouldn't fold down. Maybe an exception to the rule

yeah i've heard that suv's are easier to get louder than trunk cars

yeah my friend has two 12's vented running off the same power I am and it gets extremely loud, so I was hoping for the same effect since my subwoofer and box are about 10x better than his.,

it made a difference with me..

i had a 96 intrepid with 1 15 on 2k

it slammed but not what i spected..

took the back seat off..no difference..

still the same(FOR ME)..

couple months later fucker(car)died on me(transmission issues)

then hooked it up on my other car.

a 02 Trailblazer (same wattage,same sub etc)

it made a whole lot of difference...got louder,in side and out,

pushed more air..

moral of the story.

in my opinion yes it will get louder..

but it always depends on the install as well..

wrong. cant say how much it'll increase. as you just said...it depends on the install. tho it will/should be louder. SUV's > trunk cars.

wello its going to be a straight up install lol 400RMS @ 15" vented to the rear hatch... lol my friend has basically the same setup but my woofer hits harder, so i imagine i should see similiar results right?
