Basshead89 Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 I have a 1999 Chevy Malibu with the 130 amp alternator. I am currently building up the electrical for my next system. There is not much room under the hood for another alternator. so i am assuming i will need a custom built one to go in the stock location. Does anyone know where to start looking for an alternator for this car?? p.s. big 3 are already done in 2 gauge, and there are currently 2 Gel cells in the car. However. There will be more batteries going in.

My 97 malibu has the 105 amp with 1/0ga big 3 optima under the hood stinger spv70 in the back and i could have run 2200w rms on that setup, I just don't have the money I will be cutting out the spare tire well and building a battery rack in the place of it. I will check those out and see what they can do for my setup. I just don't think there is room for another ALT under the hood.
