(dumb question) phone jack for bass knob?

so my bass knob ripped when i pulled it to hard, and i found a phone wire that clips in it perfectly, but does it work?.. i notice that the phone as 4 copper lines at the end and the control bass wire as 6.

Someone may know already but it would help me if you told me what amp it is.

I tried doing that on my old rockford, it didnt work lol

i just tried it and the bass knob light didnt turn on so it doesnt work...

Worked for me, amp was an aq3500.

i guess it depends on the bass knob and the amp.

doesnt work

can close thread.

gotta go buy new one :(

i used to have a PT amp, worst choice ever haha...even though it got hot enough to cook and egg it never failed on me

Exactly!!!! it has never, i mean never failed on me!!! PT to me is the best flea market amp ever!!

i tried it and it doesnt work.

i had a 1200watt peak, probably did about 250rms hahaha when i didn't know crap I had it bridged with gain and bass up, still worked
