CJ18 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 When im looking at the crossover for these do I have to run separate power wires for the 6.5 and the tweeter?
may03LT Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Yes, you'll run separate leads to the mid and the tweet from each crossover.
wL<3bass Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 To clarify you run a positive and negative into the crossover and then run two positive and two negative out of the crossover.... one for each speaker. Ok thanks. One more question do you think i would be better off running the mids on 1 and and the tweeters on a separate amp?
Guest Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Ok thanks. One more question do you think i would be better off running the mids on 1 and and the tweeters on a separate amp? no need to. your just overcomplicating things at this point
CJ18 Posted February 1, 2010 Author Report Posted February 1, 2010 no need to. your just overcomplicating things at this point The reason i asked about running the mids and highs on separate amps is because i am looking at running 5 sets of the t1652-s in the front plus 1 set of 5x7s in the back, so i am looking at needing alot of power for these things. I think the mids are rated for 100rms and the highs are rated for 75rms. I will be running them on one possibly 2 kicker 850.4 amps. Any suggestions?
