Po.Sic
Hey guys, Currently i have 2 Hifonic Atlas Squared Subs with a Bxi2006d amplifier. They handle a good 900-1000rms and could handle a little more. My question is, would it be worth it to trade in my amp and upgrade to a kicker zx2500? I plan on changing my stock car battery to a yellow top and doing my big 3. I have kicker 1/0 all run throughout the car and a Kinetik in the back. The stock alternator on my ford fusion is rated at 160 amps, which aint bad for a stock, but would the electrical i planned on keep up with the system and would that amp be worth the extra money? Thanks for any input, Po Sic
Slinky
you would be overpowering them. i say no unless your gettin better subs. Chris
I agree with slinky. The average birthsheet on a zx2500 reads about 2700rms, so at 1350rms each those subs would be toast. sean 371
The electrical would be fine, but the subs would not. I say get the amp, but upgrade your subs as well. Slinky
i dont even think the electrical would be good. you would also need to upgrade that too. Chris
i dont even think the electrical would be good. you would also need to upgrade that too. How so? *Yellowtop up front *Big 3 *Extra kinetik in back *1/0 gauge all around *160 amp alt What else could he really do? Seems like that setup would support a ZX2500.1 fairly decent to me... Po.Sic
sounds good guys, lets say i do get the kicker amp, which subs would go pretty good with them? Since its a trunk, space is somewhat limited, but its fairly large. I was thinking some RE's.
Amalan
well it depends on alot of things. how much space you have how many subs do you wanna run and whats your budget are a few that should be answered.
Po.Sic
The Trunk Specs are as follows : Max. Enclosure Height: 21 Max. Enclosure Width: 45 Max. Enclosure Depth: 41 Let's say for a budget, somewhere around 1500 just for an amp and subs. Im looking at running 2 12's or 2 15's depending on the size needed for the sub to properly work
