same wires as viper 5701???

My 5701 is juacked up and cant get another one from the guy because he is out. What alarm has the same componets and wire harness as the viper 5701. I know DEI didnt only make one like this. He will send me a new alarm if it will fit without modding all the soldering I already did.

Pretty much all of the new DEI units use those harnesses...

Viper 5901, Viper 5902, Viper 5601...

The only thing that has changed is the antenna plugs... Some have three separate plugs, and some have the one green plug.

Well the 5701 is shot and this guy said he will sell me the 5901 for a little more. If needed I will putr the other brain in and re run the antenna cable. Thanks for the input.

Would the 5902 be worth an extra 20 more than the 5901?

Would the 5902 be worth an extra 20 more than the 5901?

The 5902 is exactly the same as the 5901... It just has the cooler color remote. My directed rep had the 5902 and the remote was definitely pretty sweet. I guess it's just personal preference if you want the animations and stuff with the 5902 remote or just the standard screens with the 5901 remote.

not to gravedig..but the 5701 and the 5901/2 have a different connector on the main harness if im not mistaken....the wire colors are of course the same but some splicing would be in order for a swap out

The H1 harness(parking lights, 12volt, ground, etc...) harness? As far as I know that harness has had the same pinouts for atleast the last four years on most DEI models.

yeah thats the harness...the 5701 has your standard single row connector like all the earlier DEI units...the newer style is a more compact plug with two rows of wire...i was confused on which plug it was..dont get to install many of these new units..everyones a cheap ass around here..seem to install a shit load of avital
