OK, so i had some time to work on my yukon today...BUT my camera wasn't charged at all, i started to charge and took some pics then it died so i only have a few.

well i was going to reduce my ports by 1" to lower my tuning although i figured i would try something else.

what i did is I added a layer of 3/4" to port and to make up for the other 1/4" i am going to put 45's in the corners of my ports, so sorta like a widened octagon is what it is like now that and also flaring my port by cutting the top side at a 45* then going at it with a grinder so it is like 1.5-2" radiused :spiteful:

need to go buy some fiberglass mat tomorrow and finish that up by Wednesday if i can, i will post some pics of this tomorrow or wed. if i get a chance.

As for today here are the pics of my wiring and some of the fuse holders in

i wanted to take some more pics but i just charged camera enough to get these and it died again, maybe more tomorrow...

ok just a qhick update, i started fiberglassing in 45's in my port and already added .75" to one side of them, but i haven't been out to take pictures or get more work done because it has been snowing all last night and today.

once it warms up i will get back to work, but for now break time :tease:

and to just give an idea of how anps are going to be mounted (i think) they will be under the are that i had my batteries hidden in before which was behind where my old fosgate amps were

i have a set of huge wire crimpers i got from work, they are like $250 bucks and are supposed to be precision crimpers( they are for crimping hundreds of thousands of dollars of cable that we have to splice what looks like 3 1/0g conductors that that take an hour and a half to complete... and cost our customers about $1000 per splice :huh:

but i brought a set home and they work great!!!

i will post some pics later of what their crimp looks like.

As for this time i went ahead and soldered them but i know if i am going to continue soldering.

where i work...or worked, we would get back cable with splice that were there for sometimes 8-10 years, and the solder was always corroded to where the crimped copper was in perfect condition when we disassembled and inspected them.

plus i know it takes ALOT of heat but i am still worried in the back of my head about the solder coming loose with heat and vibration.... and i know the crimps do not come loose i have pulled over 12,00lbs with a forklift and crimped solid copper #1 cable for about 20 feet and the cable busted and never pulled apart a crimp :D
