D_man1987
OK, so i had some time to work on my yukon today...BUT my camera wasn't charged at all, i started to charge and took some pics then it died so i only have a few. well i was going to reduce my ports by 1" to lower my tuning although i figured i would try something else. what i did is I added a layer of 3/4" to port and to make up for the other 1/4" i am going to put 45's in the corners of my ports, so sorta like a widened octagon is what it is like now that and also flaring my port by cutting the top side at a 45* then going at it with a grinder so it is like 1.5-2" radiused need to go buy some fiberglass mat tomorrow and finish that up by Wednesday if i can, i will post some pics of this tomorrow or wed. if i get a chance. As for today here are the pics of my wiring and some of the fuse holders in here you can see the 4 1/0g power wires and 4 ANL fuse holders mounted on inner fender well from other side you can see the 3 1/0g grounds close-up of fuse holders coming through inside making sure they aren't twisted or crossed front side tie strapped rear tie strapped in I also have ground going directly to frame and in rear going through under yukon(i'll take pics of this tomorrow-easier to understand that way) i wanted to take some more pics but i just charged camera enough to get these and it died again, maybe more tomorrow... so uhm.. is that enough wire 1996 GMC YUKON 2dr Eclipse cd5000 six- Soundstream T5 12's in 13^ft tuned to 30.4hz,43.04hz, and 53.53hz soundoff 149.8 on TL in kick,150.0 SEALED in kick 147.8 SB4 3 RF T5002's--------------going to 3 Soundstream DTR1.3400D's two- Stinger sp1000's----going to two- BATCAP 4000's 2 140 amp alternators---going to 300amp Ohio Generator 2 runs 1/0ga, big 3-------going to 4 runs 1/0g + and 3 runs 1/0g - MB Quart QSD 6.5's in doors---soon to come my build log HERE!!!! check it out! More Pics, More wire runnin...On the topic of wires.... are you soldering them or Hammer Crimpin 'em? Waiting for :hairtrick: Keep up the GREAT work Steven i have a set of huge wire crimpers i got from work, they are like $250 bucks and are supposed to be precision crimpers( they are for crimping hundreds of thousands of dollars of cable that we have to splice what looks like 3 1/0g conductors that that take an hour and a half to complete... and cost our customers about $1000 per splice but i brought a set home and they work great!!! i will post some pics later of what their crimp looks like. As for this time i went ahead and soldered them but i know if i am going to continue soldering. where i work...or worked, we would get back cable with splice that were there for sometimes 8-10 years, and the solder was always corroded to where the crimped copper was in perfect condition when we disassembled and inspected them. plus i know it takes ALOT of heat but i am still worried in the back of my head about the solder coming loose with heat and vibration.... and i know the crimps do not come loose i have pulled over 12,00lbs with a forklift and crimped solid copper #1 cable for about 20 feet and the cable busted and never pulled apart a crimp 1996 GMC YUKON 2dr Eclipse cd5000 six- Soundstream T5 12's in 13^ft tuned to 30.4hz,43.04hz, and 53.53hz soundoff 149.8 on TL in kick,150.0 SEALED in kick 147.8 SB4 3 RF T5002's--------------going to 3 Soundstream DTR1.3400D's two- Stinger sp1000's----going to two- BATCAP 4000's 2 140 amp alternators---going to 300amp Ohio Generator 2 runs 1/0ga, big 3-------going to 4 runs 1/0g + and 3 runs 1/0g - MB Quart QSD 6.5's in doors---soon to come my build log HERE!!!! check it out!
