Stinger Volt Meter

So I bought this meter a couple months ago, and I haven't gotten around to installing it yet. I'd like to do that soon. I have a few questions, though:

I should be connecting this to which battery? Front? Back? Does it really matter?

The cables already on the meter aren't long enough to connect to either battery, so would I need to tie in some 12-16g wire or something to make it long enough or what?

The remote wire on the meter...where exactly am I supposed to connect it? I have no idea on this one. I'm not a wiring guy at all.

no but seriously, if you want THE MOST accurate reading, put it to one of your amps or the battery closest to the amps. mine is tied into the headunit harness seeing as im lazy as fuck but it works still.

Red = 12v constant, Blue = 12v switched (aka turn-on lead)

I wired mine into my wiring harness behind my dash.

When my radio comes on, so does the meter.

Its really just color coordination, and yes, just solder on some longer speaker wire or something.

I can hook this up no problem..I just really didn't know where the blue remote wire was supposed to go to. I'll tie it into the harness on my deck. Thanks.

i just installed mine yesterday. i wired mine back to the amp to get the best accurate reading. its not hard. your remote wire is what turns it on and off with the key. if you have an aftermarket radio just wire it up to the remote wire which should already be labeled.

Had mine to the power wire from behind the HU but rewired it to the positive input on my amp. Basically BLACK = GROUND, RED = POWER, BLUE = REMOTE.

I know what all the wires do lol. I just simply didn't know where to run the remote wire.

remote wire on the amp turn on wire! directly on the back of the amp, or on the back of the deck.

Make sure to use a DMM and adjust the meter accordingly for the most accurate reading.

So wait- red goes straight to battery, black is ground, and for blue I can choose the power wire for either my amp or head unit?
