Yeah Steve I thought about doing that..I am gonna try and make it last for a couple of more months...Right now it is just a Crack that looks like a scratch..But I know it is a crack...Right where it makes the turn going down the trunk lid where the bend is is where it is at..But...I will finish of in style when I recieve the new one...It sucks cause I like the carbon fiber look....

can you maybe take it off, flip it over, and reinforce it from the bottom with more carbon fiber or maybe even some fiberglass? Thats what i would do if i was in your situation and liked my trunk lid......

Guys this is what I was thinking...It has holes drilled in it..Under it..So there is a cavity that I can fill with Fiberglass resin...It will make it heavy, but it will be hella sturdy..I will just have to be real carefull not to get any resin on the outside finish..Cause it is real shiny...

if you use just resin and no glass then it will just crack probably in that situation. take some pics of the bottom side of your trunk lid and the crack on top so i can see what i would really do in that situation. Might help if i can see myself.

Here they are...It looks like the top part could be filled with resin quite well as long as it wouldn't break loose from the lid on the inside...The crack is where it makes the turn down the back of the trunk...Here are the pics

See it is all sealed on the top part of the lid..I don't think any resin could come out of it...Just fill it up..Now on the back side there is alot of openings...If I could seal them off somehow pour it in let it dry what do ya think??

i kinda hate to say this but i told ya so, been there done that with the carbon fiber. its not as strong and braced as you would think it is. One of my hoods was a Seibon great hood til i closed it and broke it.
