First i have the Big 3 done in 0ga. Next i have a run of 0/1 running to the positive on on the back battery. Right now i have a run of 4ga for the negative run. I have an everstart battery in the front which is rated at 1000CA or 700CCA. I am wondering if another one of these in the back will be enough for the amp or not. The back battery will be grounded with 0ga. I know its probably not the best battery to run but for 75-80 bucks i think it will be good for a while. All the power wires will be 250amp fused...........Any suggestions or input is greatly appreciated. Btw, I'm 3 hours away at college right now so I'm pretty much buying stuff off the internet and next weekend i'll install it all.

I think my alternator is rated around 130 amps btw and your trying to add 200 amps to it. do the math lol. there is a reason audio batteries are not 80 bucks. the everstart battery wont discharge as fast so the power may be there but itll still be starving the amp. maybe 3 of those batteries in the back will do it without a HO alt, thats 4 total, but just 1 or 2 of those things wont cut it. are those batteries vented to sealed? if they are vented then its basicaly venting poison into the car. My next choice was a kinetik 2000. If i run this battery will i need to worry about using a battery isolator? Srry for all the questions.

Boon Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Jesus guys it's 1 2200w amp. He doesn't need 4 batteries or an H/O alt. 1 big battery would be fine. Or maybe the stock battery and one decent battery in the back. 10.x volts fo' life!
