I wanted to amp more door speakers along with my 6x9s in the back. I took out my headunit only to find that there is only 1 set of rca jacks which i am using for my amp in the back for my subs. Is there away to amp my interior speakers without using the rca cable from the head unit?

Thanks, Matt

You could

a) get a new headunit

B) Run the single set of RCAs (provided they aren't used for only sub output) into a 2 or 4channel amp and then run a set of RCAs from your pass-thru on your 2/4channel amp into your sub amp.

c) Do high voltage converters....but they suck imo.

Yep an LOC would be the best, I suggest a Scosche I have heard no complaints about it and it's fairly cheap ($15 or so on eBay)

walmart brands FTW! lol

car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

I'd say that the RCA on your deck isn't just for subwoofer output.. but I may be wrong. And if you amp doesn't have a pass thru, you can use an RCA splitter, but you need to re-set your gains when you use an RCA splitter because it will drop your input voltage.

Why not get a crossover? Like a 3-way. This would work. It can take two channel input (pair of RCA's) and have a 3-way output. So you can set the high pass for the front and rear, and the low pass for the sub.

EDIT: I'll also boost the voltage of the RCA signals to the amps, so that's another plus.

just remeber don't split that signal to much because you will make it even weaker than it prob is. So i would just look into getting a new h/u
