Could also go with a AP30001 and run 1ohm per channel, and turn the amp down a little. Type Rs are very clean sounding subs, but dont like being pushed to their max power limit. toaster Posted February 19, 2010 Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 The aq2200 and the mb quart dsc2000.1 use the same board, but the quart has higher temp ratings on the caps (sturdier design). The more power you put on the Rs, the louder they will get for competition (brief bursts). Over their rating, expect a fair amount of compression to set in after a short amount of time. This is typically when they will fail.
