just got back from gettin metered at a local shop for my first time ever. using the termlab sensor placed in the passenger kick panel (meca style) in my 92 accord. (2) 10" RE SE's facing the front of the car, runnin off a RE12.1 (1200 watts) with 1/0 runnin directly to it from battery both positive and negative, 200amp alt, NSB 90 battery, big 3 upgrade in 1/0 gauge. box is about 5cubes after displacement with (2)4" aeros tuned to about 32hz. still havent sealed it off from the trunk but i plan on it. i can also swap those ports out, with one in plan on making tuned to about 50hz...setup is as seen below.

so i peaked between 38-41hz. after some playing around i busted a 143.2 :D...and i was seriously suprised. passenger door open with all the windows up and back seat folded down....so what do u all think? good? bad? let me hear it...

i likes me some audio stuff...

It was a geo prism...  I had it pretty close to being sealed.. the big bx builder here told me his little secrets.. that teh seakers should never be faceing you always away from you...Bass has to roll of of stuff to build up pressure. Walls are  ment to make the cabin smaller this decreasses the amount of air the woofers has to pressureize SPL P for pressure. the smaller it is the better. thats one reason why Tommy K can hit 151 with one 10".  if you can try turning it around and leaving 8" between the woofer and the rear of the vehical

I am not saying what you are doing is wrong different cars/suv/truck have a certien way they like the ports and sub faceing.. Crx's like teh sub up ports back" CRX BOX"....

If can try turning it around and seeing teh difference.. I know your tuning frequence will change. if you can't change it I am just adding my 2 cents

sorry but your mostly wrong GEO....aiming forward WHILE ISOLATING the cabin from the trunk is the BEST way to do it.  Aiming backwards is only best if you dont plan on isolating.  I dont know what tommy did to get a 150 with one ten but it wasnt aimed backwards in a trunk so thats a bad example really....

Its just the way I found works best. It would be instering if there were trials done on it if there is I'd like to see  the results.. not that i don't belive you. I am a man of research.

get a meter, then try it your way.  Then completely seal the face of the box so that no sound goes backwards into the trunk.....try it again.  You'll see.  You found the other way works best because you didnt seal it off completely.  "Pretty close" to being sealed off is all it takes to make it not work right.

Now this is for trunk cars ONLY, not hatch cars.....hatches i would almost always aim backwards or go CRX style for sure ;)
