I believe between the old and new, they have 3 versions. one model makes 500w x 1 at 2ohms so if its that model, yes, wire your subs to 2 ohm to get the best performance from the amp. I had my subs at 2ohm when I first bought the amp and the shop wired them to 4ohm why would they do that?
