skittlesRgood Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) its called ohm's law. amps x volts = watts so your 140amps x 13v = 1820w i use 13v to account for voltage drop. edit - but that doesnt mean the amp will do that much power. just means it cant do more than that. if you really want to test the power an amp puts out you need to get a DMM and a clamp meter. then you can measure the output voltage and amperage and find the real power. I don't think you can determine an amps RMS from it's fuses... I mean.. what do I know.. nothing.. but i really don't think an amp blows it's fuse at RMS ... just saying..
