umm not really a question in specific ya know just general knowledge of the site and forum... but can we upload videos up here? what are some things that are interesting i should check out?

well first of all read the rules before anything.

now guys in Blue and guys in Red are your friends. they are knowledgeable and will ban you if you act stupid

Then there are guys in Light Blue these guys are partners of SMD. they own companies and are very smart when it comes to their product and mostly anything to do with audio. I will let you learn about them on your own. they are all very cool and very willing to help, if you follow the rules

People in Black are 18+ all access. do not ask about it unless you are 18 years old + and have 300 or more posts

people in Green is everyone else

there are some people not labeled with Red or Blue colors that will still have great amounts of info.

-Boon is an amp guru, he knows electricity like no ones business.

-Forum Asshole (aka James) has messed with almost every piece of equipment out there and will tell you what he thinks of it with no BS or bias

-MickeyMcD is your pro audio man. anything home or concert related he is the one to go to. he has smarts like no other

-groundpounder2k2 is our resident fiberglass god. his forum has taught many how to fiberglass properly. check out his section just make sure that you have a couple hours and a drool mop

-Decaf is a slowed music man. he currently has 10 zip files of music you can download for free and play in your car. great music, and its loud. zip 11 is on the way

-BigPimpin91 also a music man, has not been as active lately but he makes some real good beats. they go real low too

-Herrie_V, Dunkoholic and lately JimmyDB have been our photoshop gurus. Herrie is very busy most of the time though and his thread is always flooded. Dunkoholic is quick but will leave some interesting things in your picture jimmydb is real good but like i said he has just emerged.

-Foreverbumpn makes subs, has sub parts, and knows his shit about t-lines

-TwistedChild420 has hilarious videos about subs. watch them, love them

general assumptions:

most use photobucket for images and youtube for videos

boss, pyle, pyramid, kole, jensen are all compnaies to stay away from at all costs

it takes power to make power

big 3 is essential (there is a tutorial in the electrical-wiring batteries section if you dont know how)

SOTM (system of the month) nominating from the 1-19 then voting on the 20 to the end of the month. please cast your vote when the time comes

pet peeves:

Vs. threads- never ask a question like "which is better this or this?"

bad grammar, punctuation, language- make sure we can read what you are saying

member bitching- just dont whine and dont cause e-drama

e-drama- just dont. its the internet no need for it

learning- members will help but you must listen to them for that to happen

lying- you dont have to lie to kick it

pictures and vids- if you have them post them, if you dont go take some then post them. if you have something good people will let you know they want more (MOAR!!!)

build logs- do not start one unless you have started building

sections- we have many sections so make sure what you are posting goes in the correct section

search- chances are if you have a question someone has already asked it so search a little and see if you can find it

posts- make them count, useless threads and posts make the community angry

scamming- if you do it we have a personal bounty hunter that will bring you to a jail we have in the basement of alcatraz. so dont do it

what if threads- no on cares if you have an idea about 37000 18 inch woofers in a tank. it wont happen leave it be in your head

sigs- keep em short. we dont want to have to scroll through a 3 page long sig.

quoting- do not quote full stirngs of pictures. its just annoying

bumping- make sure to wait before you bump. someone will answer. do not bump more than once a day

stop light bandits- dont be loud at stop lights or at night. we dont respect it

illegal downloading- do not post illegally obtained copyrighted music or even talk about certain programs like a lime colored wire.

benefits of SMD:

you will learn- a lot. simple as that. but do not accept all you hear as truth. do your own research too

free stuff- if you win SOTM you will win somethin. good stuff too

discounted stuff- partners offer discounts and group buys a lot. take advantage. you also have members selling used stuff on here. but remember Meade is not responsible for scammers. buy at your own risk

friends- most likely there is someone on here that is close to you. i have about 5 or 6 people very close to me

chat- great place to spend time (it is not working so well right now though) dont be mad if you get banned though. tis just a friendly game.

Sections:

There is a section for everything. check them all out. read a little. enjoy pics.

some sections are password protected 18+ and team sections for example. in order to gain access to the team section you must be admitted on to the team. talk to someone on that team.

thats a very brief summary of SMD. we are real people that are willing to help and have fun. follow the rules, learn the people and your stay here will be a good one.

now if you have a system post that shit! haha have a good stay here at SMD

oh and right now we are switching between servers so there may be some glitches every now and them. watch the announcements section for info on that.

wow thanks a ton man. i subscribed to meades youtube channel and always saw stuff about his forum so i finally came to check it out. Glad i can have some people who enjoy car audio like me.lol
