Try gently pushing down on the subs cone and listen for a scrapping sound... While its not powered.

You said your other sub sounds fine. Disconnect the speaker wires from the good sub and try hooking them up to the problem sub. IF it sounds like shit still, that rules out your amp. IF it sounds good, then the problem is the other channel on your amp.

its a monoblock, i tryed good wire, im on my laptop right next the the sub, i can slightly see the voice coil it doesnt even look burnt.

Distortion doesn't mean a bad coil.... Also the likelyhood of blowing a voicecoil and it still reading 2.8ohm it highly unlikely.

Sounds like your amp or wiring is to blame.

The box they are in, is it a common chamber or seperate chamber?

For shits and giggles, put the reconed sub in the box that has the good sub and try it out just to see if it could be something with the box its in or the wires run in that box.

i actually took the sub out of the box and hooked it up, it still distorts its not the box
