lem43606
you can't hook a single 3ohm coiled sub up as 1.5ohm.... sounds like your running an all pass filter on it... edit: It could have coil rub or have a shifted magnet from shipping. You can run these subs at 1.5 ohm if they are ran in parallel. 2 Fi BTL N2 18s Fully LoadedSundown Audio NS-1Kenwood 845 HU Clarion EQ4 Juicebox 3100sKnu Wire"Big 3"Mechman 270a156.3dBTeam GG. You can verify that by doing it on your other sub. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log

csills
so can it be blown? even it it reads correctly? 2 JL W7's @ 1.5ohms - SOLD Soundstream PCX2000D - SOLD Yellow top Optima - SOLD Stock Alt 148db @ 36hz
bobonit
The sub could be "Broken" and not be blown. If you didn't smell any smoke, you probably didn't burn up the coil. Like its already been said, it could be a number of things such as a poor recone job (coil out of alignment), damage from shipping (shifted magnet) or maybe even debris in the gap. Just because the coil reads ok, doesn't mean there is not other problems with it. But we cannot effectively diagnose it here. It needs to be looked at unfortunately. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log
