I'm not an installer, but isn't the volt output from the head unit just help the amp work more efficiently, not making it give out better Sound quality? HU: Kenwood KDC-MP745U. That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
kmalinich Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 higher preout makes the amp gain not to need to be as high. the idea is that the gain knob is the input sensitivity knob. you turn it up, the amp is more sensitive. turning it up also makes it more sensitive to things like line noise and such. so basically .. higher voltage = gooder
