But I painted my cones black What did you do to paint them? I have some kevlar cones I wish were black... There is a paint made by rustoleum for plastic. It has a lawn chair on it. I use the satin finish. It looks factory. Take a black sharpie and drag it next to where the surround glues to the cone. Then tape off the surround and paint the cone. The 16th of an inch the sharper mark made will help when taping. That way you don't have to be super perfect. It just creates a good blend. They have a 4" motor that will accept an 8 layer coil but the basket can't handle 100 lb motors. Plus I don't think I can install a 200lb sub.
