bigmescan Posted March 17, 2010 Report Share Posted March 17, 2010 about 2 hrs ago went to my local shop and did 133.2. i have stock electricla still. just the big 3 done. have a hifon 1608d at 2ohms. built a box over the weekend. sounds alot better. will be installing another hifon to it. and i have a 2001 dodge ext 1500. how much harder will it be to get another 7dbs. and it was metered at the window on passenger side. im strictly tryin to get loud and low. and i have 2 re sx 12's. preus amp version. anyhelp would be appreciated. and when i get second amp will just be adding another battery. With two 12" re sx subs, and that amplifier wired to 2-ohm, on stock electrical you are probably seeing around 900-1000 watts. 140 is very do-able with a good enclosure. Sure another amplifier would help, but you shouldn't need it to do a 140. I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice from the people on here. I did a 141.5 on stock electrical with two old-school 15's on about 400-500 watts total. I did a 141.5 on stock electrical with two old-school 15's on about 400-500 watts total. My 4 Kicker comp 12's running off a 600 watt amp, getting 150 each, will hit 142.6 at 55 Hz on a termlab, and it's not ported for SPL, and still the port needs to be changed anyways... If that's the case then I'd just run a single sub @ 1ohm and in the proper box shouldn't have any issue doing a 140+. SXs are great subs and can do a lot off of like 1k or so per woofer.
