mlstrass Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Very good subs in the right enclosure. They like boxes on the big side, more port area, and higher tuning then most subs. Assuming it's a copper coil sub then 2kw is about the most you'd want to throw at it. Alum coil can take 3.5kw daily in the right set up. Also very easy to recone if you ever want/need to change things up....
El1T3Bass Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 well alittle update, i was going to have this sub last week, and start the build this week....but i ended up in the hospital for 5 days and i cant do ANY type of lifting for 2 months.... but i dont give a F***. so friday im going to pick up everything, im getting the sub, a shit ton of wire for big 3, and 2 runs of 1/0, a new headunit (alpine of course), and some mids and highs. and as for an amp i dont really know what i want. still trying to sell my ap1500d, and once i do im thinking maybe a saz2500? oh and the box is going to be around 6 cubic feet, tuned to 35 hz. so thanks for all the input ill post pics on friday! wow now this just shows that smd isnt just any forum.
