Ben G.
Hey, i know a lot of you guys like your rap, and pure bass music. I like that too, but i enjoy a lot of metal and rock too. I own a pair of JL W3 12"s in a sealed box. They seem to do very well on metal music compared to my friends setups. Most my buddies are running RE Audio . One of my friend runs a SE in a sealed box, does not really compare to my setup. Another has an SX and is currently playing with box set ups. Another friend of mine is running 2 JL w3 18"s It's not as hard hitting as mine but sure hits lows. One other friend has 2 12" Hifonics in a sealed box. They hit hard enough, but can not hit double bass notes and other notes as well. I am just wondering, and curious what woofer brands and models have you guys listened to on metal and rock? Looking for all suggestions, ideas, and opinions. I do also have 3 JL w0's. I am currently waiting to get foam for them. I would thing they would be decently loud on metal and rock? I have heard 10"s are real nice for that kind of music.

kingsuv
My DC LVL5 18's get down on the double kick. I would put the wife's truck up against anyone rockin the dbl kickdrum. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
Beanz
Man it all really comes down on how the box is built and then the equipment so maybe all your friends may not be running as much power as you or there boxs are built different we dont know.... That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
