Wiring XS Power batterys

Recommended Posts

I have an D3100 under the hood and just got my D3400 to put in the back. How should I wire it can I just run an power wire from the front to back then ground the back battery to the chassis? And would mt current 4gauge wire be ok for now?

I think they meant from the front bat to the back bat then from the back bat fuse to the amp.. That is because if your front bat or alt take a dump you won't blow your amp up. So it's like BAT----FUSE----------------------BAT----FUSE------amp

you fuse it at both ends cuz if it ever draws too much current, it has a better chance of popping the fuse at either end, then starting a fire. also you can either ground it on the chassis or run a negative...some people prefer to run a negative so they have a good connection.

ok so see where i get confused, 2 replies saying two different things. Is 2 fuses between the front and back B+ really necessary?
