hey trippi i swapped my sundown amps and got all dc if u do change urs up i guarantee youll be more then happy mine are in til im out of audio or deaf ive used alot of different amp... from rockford jl sundown mtx kicker audiopipe treo diablo orion hcca and i couldnt be happier. i hear good things about the pb5k but a friend of mine said his protects at 16.5 volts so imo dc

You have to modify the amp (I did it for the metro too) if you are over 16v. that will allow it to take voltage up to 18.3v hehehe

either way trippi don't have to worry bout that b/c he's not over 16v

ANOTHER reason to run RF -

if your going to have multiple bass amps, have fun matching the gains if they arent Rockfords LOL - and after you spend a week matching all those gains, have fun doing it the following week when they are off a little, and they do.

with Rockford T series amps, set the master and the rest of the slaves follow the lead within a 10th or better of a volt. You dont even have to mess with the slaves at all. If it was a one or maybe 2 bass amp setup, i would say do what you want..... but with ALL THOSE AMPS i DEFINITELY say rockford, hands down PERIOD. I wouldnt want to be Pulse audio setting your gains and hoping they stay identical forever, which they wont. Ive been thru that with 4, and 8 bass amps in single systems and it sucks ass!! This is some of the best technology EVER made (at least in a long time) IMO. CP is right there with it too as far as being incredible technology.

all that and im still not trying to be a salesmen, i am speaking from experience.

FYI: for those that dont know, this is not the same master/slave setting as other amps have......no need to strap. You CAN strap the RF's too but unlike other amps, they have master/slave/slave/slave/slave/slave+ and it has nothing to do with strapping.

I do agree... that is about my favorite thing about these amps.

again, i'm not a huge fan of rockford. and I don't sell them either.
