Seats are at a standstill right now..I swear my installer has ADD..lol..that dude just can't stay focused for too long. He's my boy tho so it's all good. Plus he works so fast finishing them up will be a breeze. Right now we are just doing some other stuff and waiting for the upholster to squeeze me in.

You guys need to quit asking how much it cost. If he wanted to tell you he would have by now. He drives a hummer h2 on 30s. I dont think he's too concerned with that.

I don't think his goal is to impress us. I feel it's like most people here, just sharing something we're into/helping/inspiring others into the same thing.

And as far as a build being better because you did it yourself; I disagree and think that is a very elitist attitude. I respect the sentiment, but you presented it in a negative manner.

Most of us could change our own oil (or cut our own hair etc.)...but for the time and little bit of money saved, it makes more sense to let a shop do it. Is it a better oil change because you saved 5 bucks and got greasy doing it?

Personally, my time is worth more than money...so if it's something I can't do around my schedule (or aggravation level), I'll pay a professional to do it.

For something of this magnitude and this much money, why not drop the extra change and get a properly designed and built box? It's not like he's running $600 of equipment here, more like $40000.

I disagree. Anyone who has a bunch of money burning a hole in their pocket can shell out tons of money and have someone build a big system. I find more merit in a small system that was built and designed for/by the person getting it done. I'm not really impressed with people like that, and then post pictures of it all over the internet showing it off. Sure, they have money, but at the end of the day, they didn't do any of the work, or put in the time and energy required to build something. Builds like that aren't all that special, imo

I'm just curious what the loudest system you have heard is..

I did my own small system and heard Chicken's hoopty but yet I was way more impressed with the hoopty than mine
