OrionStang Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 Since i've got a new build in the works, I want to have some fun with my XL. I need to test my new stetsom anyway. Here it is now. Tomorrow i'm gonna start it at 2000 watts, and move up in 500 watt increments, all on music, just to see how good my recone skills are. Its my first recone ever. OrionStang Posted April 7, 2010 Author Report Posted April 7, 2010 Ok so it died at over 5000 watts. I had some minimal coil rub and I don't know if I did that good a job soldering the tinsel leads. So the failure could be that. But it was my first time re-coning and I now know how powerful these amps are. I didn't smell anything, so I might have just broke the leads.
