Ebes
Ok so i have a woofer that decided to poop out on me and i was curious to see if i could persay buy a fi btl recone kit and use the motor from my old woofer(old woofer wasnt a fi btl). Do i need to make sure somethings are the same between the 2 woofers or what?
ssackett
You can contact Fi directly and have a recone custom built. Or you can have one built by one of the builders here on the forum. Forevrbumpn can, I also make recone kits, and there is a few others that can custom build you a recone. What type of sub did you have? Team S.S.C. STEvil
As long as the bore is the same diameter it would work... assuming the wrist pins worked too, or the connecting rod from the chevy if not.. then thats gotta fit onto the crank. Anyways yeah, a recone can be made for your basket/motor easily. Many subs are quite interchangeable surprisingly.. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
