I have seen some bits of info regarding making your own meter on some of the Finnish db drag sites, and I am pretty interesting in try it. Both meters use a Motorola MAP sensor, that can be bought from freescale, for about 12 bucks. Not sure about output voltage filtering, but I am going to try several different methods when I start this project.

I was supposed to order mine this morning but i just got back from the bank and some how my checking account went from 17x.xx to -20 so i will have to wait a week or so to order mine it sucks :angry:

honestly the TL is not that much. offer metering in your area and you can make your money back and also have the best and most accurate meter ever made.

Soooo true! You can make your money back and more db testing your buddys systems and strangers. Does anyone know how much an audio shope would charge for a test session? So how much did you pay for this foreighn meter? For the whole thing and shipping?
