Ok since you want to take the cheap way out. Pay 1200 for that turbo. Then pay 1000 to have your internals beefed up. Then pay another grand to have it installed and tuned. Then since you wanted to take the cheap way out go ahead and tack on some money for how many times you'll be replacing that chinese knock-off turbo.

See what I'm getting at? Do yourself a favor and build a NA motor and you'll be happier and wealthier in the long run.

alright alright lol the tc does actually have a similar motor to mine. I believe the tc runs on a 2.4L 4cyl so I might invest in a scion aftermarket turbo. But hell I might be getting a new motor anyway mine has too many miles. Friend showed this small block for $3500 pushing 350hp lol and it can take up to a 15psi boost so I'll be looking in to that and I wont go the cheap way lol. Thanks guys.

Well if doing it right requires $4K (which most top of the line turbos cost esp. custom) then I'll do it wrong lol. I like $1200 for a turbo... I'm not looking to join the underground street racing league so it'll do, thanks for your input though.

lol I wish. my turbo alone cost me $1400. kit all together cost close to $6k

just for the people who think you cant run any boost on stock internals. they run 10-14 psi all day long on stock integra motors which are daily drivers and have had no problem. you just need a really good tuner that knows a lot about tuning.

Im sorry but you don't seem to know a lot about cars, you didn't even mention wether it was a chevy or ford small block.

If you don't know a whole lot about cars i recommend not doing anything to your car. Putting a V8 in a V6 sized hole is not for the inexperienced.

I don't meant to offend, but there is a whole lot more to turboing or swapping than you think, that is painfully obvious.
