i am thinking of getting some lvl 5 15 or 18's and was wondering how much they can safely handle RMS wise and not have a problem. i know they are rated at 2500 watts RMS but has anyone ever given them 3500 daily and not had a problem. im pretty sure these are the subs i will be going with im just doin all the research i can and looking into every aspect. thanks for any advice guys.

You need to do research. They are rated at 2000RMS so that's what you should give them.

the level 5's are monsters. they can take 10k. they are designed to take a ton of power and they need that power to really shine. remember all the electrical upgrades your car will need to be able to power the amps required to run these subs.

if you want to use under 3k per woofer then i would recommend the XL with dual leads. either way, please, please, please make sure you know how to set the gains perfectly.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

No, if he's asking that question, he shouldn't be giving them more than rated. That's why they are rated that way.

my bad i thought it said 2500. well 2000 is still very good. i will be doing all the electrical upgrades as well im just trying to build my dream system and im almost there. if only they made dual alt brackets for an 01 deville, that would be tha best. i will be getiing everything i need as far as supporting the system. anybody know off the top of their head how much a new lvl 5 is both 15 and 18. just wondering if not ill just get a hold of dc. thanks for all and future advice

alot of people know the prices, but you wont get them in a PM or in a thread, so you will have to call or PM/email some one from DC audio with those questions.

1 good 250a+ amp alt and 1 2000 rms amp would be a good setup for the lvl 5, if you are only doing 1..
