cdawgstalon Posted April 15, 2010 Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 i am thinking of getting some lvl 5 15 or 18's and was wondering how much they can safely handle RMS wise and not have a problem. i know they are rated at 2500 watts RMS but has anyone ever given them 3500 daily and not had a problem. im pretty sure these are the subs i will be going with im just doin all the research i can and looking into every aspect. thanks for any advice guys. skittlesRgood Posted April 15, 2010 Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 the level 5's are monsters. they can take 10k. they are designed to take a ton of power and they need that power to really shine. remember all the electrical upgrades your car will need to be able to power the amps required to run these subs. if you want to use under 3k per woofer then i would recommend the XL with dual leads. either way, please, please, please make sure you know how to set the gains perfectly.
